Project staff :

Jyoti Barai works as the administrative assistant with the GMFL group. After finishing with her schooling at K.V. IIT Bombay, she obtained her B.A. and M.A. degrees from R.J. College. She looks after the accounting aspects and assists the group in keeping up with the needs of the lab. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, playing carrom board and listening to music.

Rajesh Chauhan holds a B.E degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He joined the GMFL group in March 2016 as a Project Staff working on ‘Plume dynamics in stratified environments’. He loves to play different sports, especially football. Rajesh deeply cares about the environment and the society at large and loves to volunteer towards this cause.

Pranay Kale joined my team as a Project Research Assistant to work on the project titled 'High-resolution diagnostic development for fluid instabilities'. He completed his Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University Karnataka. His hobbies include playing cricket, listening to music and watching fifa.

Vikram Jayanath was a project research intern at IIT-B, where he worked on multiphase fluid flows. He completed his B.Tech in Mechanical engineering at SASTRA University, Thanjavur. Vikram is currently pursuing his MS in mechanical engineering at University of Florida, Gainesville. In his free time Vikram enjoys photography, watching TV shows, listening to music, playing squash and is also an avid follower of Formula 1.

Siddhesh Tirodkar is Junior Research Fellow in mechanical department at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. He received his BE in Aeronautical Engineering from Aeronautical society of India, also BSc(IT) from Mumbai University.

Shashank Benadikar has joined the GMFL group as a summer intern and studying 'Plume dynamics in stratified environment'. He is pursuing his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore, and is in his final year. He enjoys playing chess and watching sitcoms.

Sunil Yadav received his B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2013 and is currently pursuing his Masters in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Heat Power atSPPU.He has previously interned in the Product Development Centre (PDC) of Whirlpool of India Ltd., at its Ranjangaon location. At GMFL, Sunil is working on fluid mixing and convection in a radially heated rotating annular flow.

Pebbles aka, Peblu, is a permanent member of the GMFL group. She is a huge stressbuster and keeps the morale of the group up. Generally hanging out with the members in the lab and outside, Peblu is sure to join in on group dinners & birthday parties! When she is not showering kisses or playing fetch, she enjoys sleeping!

Vaishnavi Khare is presently a final year BTech student in the Civil Engineering department at College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). She is a summer research fellow here from May-July '16. Her research topic is 'Dynamics of particle laden jet'. During her leisure time, she enjoys dancing.
